STORY OF A FIELD
The Power of Jesus MovementsIt was 1991 and there were only 5 known believers among the millions that made up this Central Asian people group. For the first time in over 70 years, the door was open for gospel pioneers. Many young people answered God's call and began to share about Jesus and His love. Soon many started to believe and gather in small groups.
This window of opportunity remained open for nearly 17 years. But in 2008 the government cracked down and all the pioneers were forced to leave the country. They left behind over 1,500 followers of Jesus. Persecution grew intense and many wondered what would happen to the believers and their gatherings. Because of the faithfulness and boldness of many of those 1,500 believers, there are now over 10,000 Jesus followers who are led and supported by their own people. God began this amazing work with small teams of brave gospel pioneers who helped catalyze a Jesus movement that is multiplying on its own and will not be stopped! |
Horn of AfricaAs three young guys in our 20's, we've needed a lot of help pioneering in a foreign nation. In our first year in the Horn of Africa, our coach was a consistent encourager and culture-shaper for our team. Not only did he help guide us through storms of confusion and insecurity, but he also helped breathed life into us and lead us to see what Jesus was doing around us! Our coach has been an invaluable resource and we're so grateful to have this help!

Middle EastI first met my coach 17 years ago when I was a college student who wanted to serve among unreached peoples. It was both an exciting and daunting time in my life- I had no clue where to start. Patiently and wisely, my coach built a relationship with me and began to mentor me. In just a few years, we were able to mobilize around 30 long-term workers and pioneer an apostolic ministry in one of the least-reached places on the planet! My coach has always been there for me, teaching me about leadership, cross-cultural strategy, parenting, prayer, marriage, and, most importantly, Jesus. Today, my family and I are still ministering in the Middle East, doing with others what my coach has done for me, and our ministry continues to multiply.

AsiaOur coach has been mentoring and walking alongside our family for five
years as we prepared for the field and moved to Southeast Asia to work among the oppressed here. He has walked us through hard cultural adjustments and a family crisis while we've been overseas. Not only does he give us advice and counsel every month, he provides a picture of Jesus to us.
